Responsibilities:
Interviewing, hiring and training Guest Service Associates at Island Waterpark Scheduling Guest Service Associates as required in order to provide guests with seamless interactions and experiences.
Mentoring, coaching and counseling Guest Service Associates on their attendance and work performance.
Leading a team of Guest Service Associates who assist guests with purchasing tickets, scheduled activities, season passes, waivers, lockers, and event tickets.
Overseeing a team of Guest Service Associates who process guests' payments using cash, credit, gift cards, coupons, vouchers, etc.
Providing assistance with guest service issues, including resolving problems and concerns, and processing refunds if required.
Managing the entire waterpark Cabana rental program as well as the VIP seating program Creating and maintaining secure cash control procedures.
Coordinating waterpark group reservations and entry into the waterpark Requirements:
Description TheGuest Service Manageris critical to ensuring the overall atmosphere of the waterpark meets, or exceeds, Island Waterpark Standards and guest expectations.
The Guest Service Manager is responsible for leading a team of guest service professionals who maintain orderly daily operations while providing exceptional guest service and assisting guests as needed.
Basic Qualifications Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed Daily reconciliation of cash/credit sales and production of bank deposits when necessary Leadership experience; proven ability to hire, train and manage staff to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to complete tasks simultaneously.
Leadership, problem solving, organization and communication skills.
Strong customer service skills (verbal and written).
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in an amusement or hospitality setting.
Working knowledge and good understanding of accounting and bookkeeping practices Working knowledge and good understanding of ADA policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements Heavy work - Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects Flexible and long hours sometimes required including weekends and holidays.
Time spent may be dictated by the number of clients or groups on property or by the time of the season Ability to move frequently throughout the large facility Standing and walking for long periods of time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work in environmental conditions that include, but are not limited to:
Wet and humid environments, indoor tropical environmental conditions with up to 90% humidity and warm temperatures in excess of 70F, as well as outdoor environmental conditions Mental Requirements Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately Must be able to show initiative in job performance including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by Associates, Supervisors, Department Heads, Senior Management and guests Must be able to adapt to a broad range of customer interactions, inquiries and complaints Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions and statistical analysis Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgement Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules and the ability to maintain confidential information Quick Apply.
