The Purchasing Manager obtains products components and manages inventory by directing procurement contractual services disbursement shipping quantities and receiving schedules vendor relationships negotiating cost discovering new complementing product & resources.
Will negotiate with vendors for the purchase of all materials supply's equipment and services.
Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Think Hospitality's standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Lead supervise and direct the Purchasing department with supervision by assigned Hotel leadership.
Ensure all Purchasing personnel fulfill their job functions appropriately.
Ensure all departments have adequate supplies to perform their duties in an efficient and effective manner.
Ensure purchases are made for the highest quality product at the lowest possible price.
Ensure all requisitions are properly completed and approved prior to order.
Assist Accounts Payable as necessary.
Coordinate purchases to capital projects with both the Controller and outside contractors if applicable.
Conduct frequent quality control audits.
Prepares annual reviews annual market plans budgets and other fiscal reports as necessary.
Responsible for the achievement of departmental objectives and goals.
Maintain open communication with other departments.
Conduct and attend meetings as necessary.
Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure.
Bachelor's degree in a business-related area required with at least 3 years Prior Hotel or related experience preferred.
Proficient with MS Office:
Word Excel PowerPoint Access Organizational skills for efficient office control are mandatory.
Demonstrates Negotiating skills with the ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
Solid decision-making skills and ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
