3K a year 13 days ago 13 days ago 13 days ago ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Software Tester to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The selected candidate will provide 2nd level engineering support for the Weather and Radar Processor (WARP).
Support system development/testing/integration/deployment/field support activities for WARP systems.
Provides support for software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of complex computer systems.
Review and comment on system engineering documents; system requirement documents; system testing documents, system maintenance planning documents.
Attend system design reviews; technical interchange meetings; any other meetings as requested to support program and team.
Develop and manage system engineering artifacts; system requirements artifacts; system testing artifacts; required product baseline artifacts.
Support software applications in Linux or Windows environment.
Troubleshoot networking, hardware, and Operating System (OS) issues.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Must be willing to travel estimated 2-3 weeks per year.
Full-time position, standard work hours.
On-site at the FAA WJHTC.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor's degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and three (3) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field, OR Master's Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and one (1) year related work experience in a computer science or math field.
Three years of experience in IT systems test, systems administration, or IT helpdesk.
Possess a technical understanding of systems; databases; networking; computing environments; virtualization.
Experience in performing system testing including issue documentation, troubleshooting, test procedure creation, and test report generation.
Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Windows OS.
Knowledge of Scripting languages.
Proficient technical writing and oral communication skills.
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US.
Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years.
Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
Preferred Demonstrated ability interpreting and analyzing complex information systems data to develop technical documentation, system diagrams.
Knowledge or development of Jira.
Analytical and problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of IT Security Standards and Practice.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
