8K - $102K a year ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Software Developer to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration, the Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.
The person in this position will be responsible for providing software/adaptation analysis, filed support/problem investigation, data collection, software design/development, testing, lab support, technical writing and system integration for the TFDM program.
Applicable functional areas include proficiency and knowledge of real-time design, development, testing and interfacing of software and computer hardware systems.
Comprehensive software development skills and experience with programming languages used for National Airspace Systems (NAS) and NAS support systems.
Perform adaptation/software analysis and implement code fixes, adaptation changes, and new functionality.
Provide support to the Field, Adaptation Team, and TFDM Labs.
Perform data collection, problem investigation, and testing.
Perform peer/code reviews.
Write technical documentation and procedures.
Provide direction and training.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Desk/lab located at the William J.
Hughes Technical Center.
Telework two (2) days per week a possibility; but not guaranteed based on work assignments.
Limited (25% or less) travel to locations throughout the US.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Five (5) years of professional experience with a BS in Computer Science, Math, or technical field, OR Three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree each with 30 requisite hours of math, statistics, and computer science The person in this position will work specifically with the TFDM Adaptation and Software Teams using C/C++, Java, XML, shell scripting, database concepts (Postgres and/or Oracle), GIS Tools, UNIX, Red Hat Linux, Ada, Redmine, Git, and various homegrown tools.
All candidates are required to have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Demonstrate ability to work individually and within a group/team.
Demonstrate ability to take direction and initiative.
Demonstrate ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.
Preferred:
Technical Adapter/Software Developer with the required knowledge plus Ada, Perl Scripting, Python, Geographic Information System (GIS) Tools, and Red Hat Linux.
In addition, experience in TFDM/STARS/NAS, Test, Redmine (or another project management tool), Git (or another configuration management tool), and Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel).
Bonus:
Working knowledge of Ada, Scripting (Perl, C Shell, Korn Shell, Bash, and/or Ansible), Python, Geographic Information System (GIS) Tools, Red Hat Linux (7, 8 or 9), HTML/XML, QT, JSON, SQL, and system engineering.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
