Full-time/Seasonal Description Waterpark Quality Specialists at Island Waterpark are vital safety positions.
The Waterpark Quality Specialists are responsible for keeping the waterpark attractions running while ensuring a safe, clean and fun environment for guests.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Waterpark Quality Specialist 1 Complete and maintain certification training in Aquatic Facility Operator and/or Certified Pool Operator programs.
Performs daily inspections of all slides, rides, pools and other waterpark features.
Maintains pool and attraction cleanliness, water balance, temperature, operational costs, guest service satisfaction and safety.
Perform tasks efficiently and in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Uses and reinforces safe chemical handling in addition to following and adhering to SDS practices and procedures as outlined by Showboat standards, OSHA, EPA, Green Seal, and Federal, State, and Local laws.
Maintains records and documentation according to corporate, industry, and government standards.
Understands work assignments and ensures that work is completed in a timely manner and within specifications.
Waterpark Quality Specialist 2 Complete and maintain certification training in Aquatic Facility Operator and/or Certified Pool Operator programs.
Maintains pool and attraction cleanliness, water balance, temperature, operational costs, guest service satisfaction and safety.
Conducts basic fiberglass repair under the direction of the Assistant Manager.
Operates and services all related pumps, motors valves, vessels, filters and chemical feed equipment.
Performs daily inspections of all slides, rides, pools and other waterpark features.
Assists with audits, daily record keeping and inventory of chemicals.
Perform tasks efficiently and in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Uses and reinforces safe chemical handling in addition to following and adhering to SDS practices and procedures as outlined by Showboat standards, OSHA, EPA, Green Seal, and Federal, State, and Local laws.
Maintains records and documentation according to corporate, industry, and government standards.
Understands work assignments and ensures that work is completed in a timely manner and within specifications.
Basic Qualifications Willingness to work flexible schedule including overnights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed.
Ability to complete tasks simultaneously.
Problem solving, organization and communication skills.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Basic working knowledge of chemicals, tools, equipment, and supplies used in providing comprehensive building/water park maintenance services.
Physical Requirements Heavy work - Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Flexible and long hours sometimes required including weekends, holidays and overnights.
Time spent may be dictated by the number of clients or groups on property or by the time of the season.
Ability to move frequently throughout the large facility.
Standing and walking for long periods of time.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work in environmental conditions that include but are not limited to:
Wet and humid environments, indoor tropical environmental conditions with up to 90% humidity and warm temperatures in excess of 70F, as well as outdoor environmental conditions.
