Supervisory IT Specialist

DutiesServes as manager within the Aviation Research Division for a multidisciplinary team that conducts research, engineering, and development in areas such as flight control and mechanical systems, system safety management, terminal area safety, and vertical flight/rotorcraft safety.Prepares cost and schedule estimates, allocates resources and personnel, and anticipates future organizational needs. Coaches, mentors, and develops employees while also taking, recommending, or approving disciplinary actions when required. Interfaces with research stakeholders and ensures that requirements are met in a timely manner.Exercises authority to direct and manage administrative and technical activities; exercises authority for managerial responsibilities of employees including personnel actions, performance standards, evaluations, and training; and communicating and reinforcing EEO policies. Experience conducting and leading research and development programs including identifying research gaps, evaluating technological changes, and applying results of science across management, regulatory and other decision frameworks, collaborating and leveraging research assets and capabilities external to the FAA, experience working with academia and other organizations where research is conducted to advance cross-cutting aviation technologies.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.All, some or none may be interviewed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
